Reverse painting on glass is an art form consisting of applying paint to a piece of glass and then viewing the image by turning the glass over and looking through the glass at the image. The painting is done on the back allowing the front to be free of paint. The back has been sealed to protect the painting.
Main colors in the painting- deep brick red/rust, aqua, blue-green, carmel, umber and black. The 1/2" thick glass fits securely in the wood base. The bottom part of the sculpture is wood that has an aged bronze metallic finish with steel rods.
Due to the reflection of the glass, photos do not do the painting justice.
